Literacy –
*Disclaimer: Before we get into the hard-core stuff, I would like to start off with you knowing that we do accept everyone as long as you’re willing to learn and grow as a writer. So, keep in mind that you may be exempt from some of the rules below. We will give you a 3 month trial period and if there is no growth, I am afraid we will ask you to take a literacy hiatus from Genesis-Revived RP during which improvement will be expected. However, we will always be waiting with open arms for you to return. During a member’s literacy hiatus the member will be allowed to participate in OOC threads and events, as we are a family and once bonds are formed with other players we encourage them to be maintained. But in order to return to RP you will have to give another sample post to the staff and they will give the yes or no on your return.
My Personal Statement
It has been a while since I’ve been in the RP game, as I was on a hiatus for a few years. But I came back with Destined. Upon my return I am sad to find that the art of RP has seemingly died as the standards have gone down DRASTICALLY. In its place I’ve seemed to find pre-teens or lazy adults who are just on to have a mate/pups/friends and live a virtual life with no real interest in using writing as a creative outlet. Role playing has always been a pastime for those who love to write. We strive to create another world and bring life to our characters through beautiful words, similes, and personifications. Role players have ALWAYS role played to better their writing, challenge each other, and just simply to make the world a better place by their awesome posts. I can tell you right now that if you criticize others for challenging themselves and using a large vocabulary because you’re too lazy to look up the meaning of a word, then Destined is NOT for you. We are among the few that still hold the tradition of actually creating lovely posts with unique writing. Literacy is possibly the MOST important thing on Genesis-Revived and it is the pinnacle of acceptance for every member.
That being said, everyone has their own writing styles. I know some people will write simple and sweet. Others will give detailed and drawn posts out. Regardless, those are the rules that must be met.

- You must have adequate spelling and grammar. I will be more lenient with grammar, as the rules are always changing and it can be a tad iffy. However, there is a spell check so I ask that you use it.
- We consider ourselves to be a literate and advanced RP forum. So, because of that we ask that you post a minimum of three detailed paragraphs per post, 4-5 sentences per paragraph. If you are exempt then you are required to only post one detailed paragraph.
- I know that we can often be busy or just have ‘Writer’s Block’ so every member will be allowed to use "WB passes". There is no set limit on how many times you can use it, but I just kindly ask that you don't abuse it . Upon using it you will only be required to post one paragraph. When using it just put [WB] in big, bold letters the top of your post.
- There is a universal term, a term which I personally hate, that is known as ”wolf speak”. It is acceptable on Destined. It is only a style of writing and we will not put a limit on you as the writer. However, if it is absolutely unable to be understood I will require you to put a thorough translation of what is being said beneath the post in parenthesis. I honestly don’t think it will be required often, but you never know.
- Absolutely no chatspeak whatsoever IC. Smaller forms of chatspeak will be acceptable when in OOC or in the chatbox. Don't go overboard or I'll ask you, publicly, to knock it off.

Role Playing –
- RP posts must be made in third person with only present or past tense.
- No godmodding, meta-gaming, or power-playing.
- No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. Your character is not perfect, don’t even think about making them like that. Be original.
- We are semi-realistic RP in that the wolves can talk, exhibit emotion, and there is a bit of spiritualism/fantasy mixed into their world. However, anything more than that is forbidden. It is expected that everyone will incorporate feral behaviors and characteristics into their characters and role playing. Actions are as much appreciated as words. If you have to then read up on wolf behavior or watch a documentary on wolves. It just makes the role playing all the more interesting.
- When creating a private thread you must enclose [PRIVATE] in the subject title and in the opening post present a list of who is allowed to post in that thread. This will not keep others from reading it, but it will keep them from posting.
- We have the main plot and progression of things that will inevitably have to be followed, however we very strongly encourage you to plot amongst yourselves! We are pro-plot, ahaha. So, give your characters some history with other players! Come up with future scenes and ideas!! There is nothing wrong with that and it ultimately gives you something to look forward to in RP.
- Drama is encouraged. It is what brings the RP to life and just gets things exciting. So heck yeah! Put in some betrayal! Some romance! Some violence! Make me gasp and scream, baby! Haha, mkay. On a serious note though, go crazy with your bad self.
- Life is unpredictable, so because of that we are lax on consent here. We do encourage that you make the other person aware of what is going to happen, however it isn’t necessary with the exclusion of the rules that indicate it is. Everyone has the right to make a post directed towards your character and as long as it isn’t god-modding it is acceptable. Ultimately, whether or not you respond and how will determine whether or not you give your consent.
